Question 1, Are all of your Hair Extensions made from Virgin Hair?

We only offer 100% virgin human hair extensions. These high quality wefts are unprocessed. The hand-selected hair is collected from a single donor. The hair is carefully handled to ensure the cuticles remain in the same direction. By properly handling each bundle of hair and creating wefts from a single source, there is no need to process the hair with harsh chemicals. These virgin hair extensions maintain their natural color, texture, and cuticle.  Top

Question 2, Is Remy Hair the same as Natural Virgin Hair?

While we guarantee that our hand-selected human hair is both Virgin and Remy, these are terms that are often misused by hair extension retailers. Virgin hair is completely unprocessed. Our virgin hair has not been color treated, the hair texture is 100% natural, and no chemicals are used to process the hair.
Remy hair refers to hair that has its cuticle lying in the same direction, which we can ensure because our extensions are collected from a single donor.

Retailers selling lower quality hair extensions from multiple donors (or Temple Hair) often mistakenly call their hair Remy. However it is impossible for this hair to be Remy because of the method of collection. Top

Question 3, Why is the Hair Cuticle so important?

The outer shaft of the hair, known as the cuticle, serves as a protective layer for the hair, holding the hair stand together. We choose to sell hair from a single donor with the cuticle intact and lying in the same direction because this will give our customers the longest, lasting, natural looking extensions. Keeping the cuticle in the same direction minimizes tangling and matting, improves the health of the hair by keeping it shiny and manageable and increases the longevity of the extensions. Top

Question 4, Do you sell Indian Temple Hair?

No, we do not sell Indian Temple Hair. Haute Hair Collection is committed to offering completely unprocessed 100% virgin human hair from a single donor with the cuticle intact.
While the choice made by many Indian women to donate their hair to the temple is admirable, we are not satisfied with the lower standard of quality that is found with temple hair. Temple hair is removed from the head in a non-uniform fashion (that causes tangling) and the hair is then tossed in a large pit, where it is exposed to lice and mites, and then processed. Hair from hundreds of women is mixed together and then stripped in an acid bath to remove the cuticle. Because the hair is not from a single source, to create consistent texture, temple hair must be processed to create the desired textures; this additional processing shortens the life and quality of the hair. Top

Question 5, What is the difference between Single Drawn and Double Drawn Hair?

Haute Hair Collection only offers double drawn hair wefts as our clients insist on top quality hair extensions. Only a small percentage of short, broken, hair strands have been removed from single drawn hair; this leaves the hair much thinner at the bottom than at the scalp. Double drawn hair is the same thickness from the top to the bottom, leaving you with thick, gorgeous hair at every length. Top

Question 6, Will my hair extensions tangle?

Because our hair is 100% virgin, unprocessed, remy hair from a single donor with the cuticle laying in the same direction, your hair extensions will not tangle. You will not experience the type of matting, tangling, and shedding that is common with processed, Temple hair. Top

Question 7, How long will the wefts last?

We chose to offer 100% virgin hair wefts made from a single donor to ensure the longevity of our wefts. Because the hair extensions offered by Haute Hair Collection are made from completely unprocessed, natural human hair, they should last a minimum of one year when properly maintained. Some clients have experienced a longer lifespan; the better you care for your hair, the longer it will hold its lustrous appearance. Top

Question 8, Will the wefts shed?

All of our wefts have been strengthened with machine reinforcement to keep shedding to a minimum, if it occurs at all. Top

Question 9, Will I experience any hair breakage?

If your hair extensions are properly placed and subsequently removed by a professional, your hair should not experience any breakage. Top

Question 10, How much hair will I need?

If you want a full head of hair, 4-6 oz (depending on the desired thickness) will generally meet your needs. Most people select one to two bundles, depending on the density they want to achieve.  Top

Hair Care Tips

Question 1, How do I wash my hair extensions?

Important hair care rules to remember when wearing extensions:
1). Always use a professional shampoos and conditioners. Ask your stylist for a recommendation.
2). Do not use drugstore or low quality hair care products on your hair extensions.
3). Never lean over the sink to wash your extensions
4). Do not ever go to bed with wet hair
5). Wash hair in a shampoo bowl or standing in the shower.
Even professional brand name hair care products sold at a drugstore are not guaranteed to be the same high quality sold in a salon. Cheap products will strip the cuticle from your extensions, leaving your hair dry and frizzy. Your hair is an investment in your appearance; you will be shortening the life of your extensions by using inferior products and improperly caring for your hair.
To wash your hair, gently squeeze the shampoo through your extensions. You may rub your scalp with your fingertips, but do not use any circular motions as you wash through the length of the hair extensions. Shampoo has a magnetic action and will draw any dirt from your hair without the need for excessive suds or aggressive scrubbing
If you have long extensions, you may choose to put your hair in two or three braids when you wash it. Standing up in the shower is the ideal position for washing your hair, avoiding leaning over and do not ever wash your extensions in the sink.
Shampoo and rinse your hair twice on the days that you choose to wash your hair. Most people find they only need to wash their hair every 7 to 10 days.. Top

Question 2, What is the best way to sleep with hair extensions?

Do not ever go to bed with wet hair. This will severely damage your extensions, causing tangling, matting, and breakage.
If you have long hair extensions, we recommend putting your hair in one or two braids at night. You can also choose to wear a silk bonnet or sleep on a satin pillowcase; these materials will minimize any friction against your hair.
If you are wearing clip-in hair, always remove the hair before going to bed. Top

Question 3, Can I color my hair extensions?

Yes, just like your original hair, your hair extensions can definitely be colored. Always visit a professional salon to have your hair colored. We recommend that your stylist place the hair extensions before coloring them.

Question 4, Can I style my extensions like my natural hair?

Hair extensions from Haute Hair Collections are 100% natural virgin, unprocessed human hair with the cuticle intact; the extensions can be styled just like your original hair. We recommend that your salon professional place your weft prior to cutting it to your desired style.
You have the freedom to flat iron, blow dry, and curl your hair extensions as you would your own hair. Be sure to always use professional quality hair care products. We recommend that you avoid any oily hair care products that are petroleum or mineral oil based. Top

Question 5, Can I go swimming with my hair extensions?

If you choose to go swimming in chlorinated water, you must always put your hair under a high-quality swim cap. If your hair extensions are long, you can put your hair in braids and wrap them up under your cap.
Ocean salt water is not as damaging as chlorinated water. If desired, you can just put your hair in braids without putting them under a cap, but do not go swimming in the ocean with your hair loose.
Whether swimming in the ocean or in a pool, always rinse and shampoo your hair immediately after swimming. Top

Question 1, How is the wig made?

It is handmade on a Swiss or French lace base by placing a few hairs at a time while single hair in fro They have bleached knots which give the appearance of hair growing out of the scalp and it has baby hair along the entire perimeter. We use 100% natural virgin hair for all our wigs. Top

Question 2, What sizes are they available in?

We sell wigs in small (20-21”), medium (22”-22½”) and Large (23”-23½”) The most common size is Medium. Top

Question 3, What color lace do you offer?

We offer lace to match all skin tones. From very fair to dark brown. Top

Question 4, Will my wig look natural and undetectable?

Because the hair is natural virgin hair, hand ventilated with bleached knots to make natural parts, on to the finest swiss or French lace to give a soft and non-abrasive feel to the point that the wig cannot be noticed or felt on the head. Because the front of the wig has been hand ventilated using only single stands and baby hairs it gives the most natrual looking hairline available.
Front lace wigs have the lace only in the front. A full lace wig has the entire cap made with Lace.
Haute Hair wigs are available in natural virgin curly ,straight, wavy curly kinky hair.
Our wigs can be cut any length and are available up to 25 inches long. Top
